COVID-19: MHDHA continues to monitor COVID-19 situation and government actions and advocate for NYS RDHs. NYS: As of February 10, 2022, NYS Governor lifted mandate to wear masks in all indoor places unless the business has a vaccine requirement; mask mandate remains in place for state regulated hospitals, nursing homes and other such settings; remains in place at this time for school - https://www.governor.ny.gov/sites/default/files/2022-02/020922_COVID_Deck.pdf

Our region covers the counties of Orange, Dutchess, Rockland, Greene, Sullivan, and Ulster in New York State. Mission and Purpose
Purpose:
The purposes of the Association shall to improve the oral health of the public, and advance the art and science of dental hygiene; to maintain the highest standards of dental hygiene and practice, to represent and protect the interest of the dental hygiene profession, to improve the professional competence of the dental hygienist, to foster research in oral health research; to provide professional communications; and to conduct other activities as they may be permitted by the State of New York to carry out the purposes of the association.
Mission:
To improve the public’s total health, the mission of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association is to advance the art and science to quality oral health care, promoting the highest standards of dental hygiene education, licensure, practice, and representing and promoting the interests of dental hygienists all in a manner consistent with the Code of Ethics of the ADHA.
